Zambezi Valley Ride

Zambezi Valley Safaris in conjunction with Hemmersbach Rhino Force, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and Lomagundi College Schools are proud to present the “ZAMBEZI VALLEY RIDE 2019”. This prestigious annual bush cycling event is held in the Lower Zambezi Valley and is scheduled this year from 8-12th August. This ride is not a team race due to the rugged Zambezi Valley terrain and the need for safety escort vehicles for your protection from the abundant wildlife. There will be 2 different routes planned to accommodate your individual riding strength levels: “A Group” route is roughly 50 km per day and “B Group” route roughly 30 km per day, each for 3 days. The 2019 ride will follow a similar course through the Zambezi Valley, maintaining the highest event standards as was set in the past. Rider numbers will again be limited to just 50 in total to ensure the event quality, safety and outdoor experience are second to none.

Please reserve your place for this event or ask for further information. Reservations for the event will close at end of day on 14th June 2019, or sooner if all available places are taken, so please book early!

Zambezi Valley Trek

Zambezi Valley Safaris latest and exciting expedition is our Zambezi Valley Trek! This wildlife adventure is on foot and shall take you along the winding Zambezi River course from the mouth of the Lower Zambezi Valley, where the river cuts through the escarpment at Nyamoumba Camp, all the way down to Mana Pools over a 10 day period. The walk is designed to be enjoyable and not an endurance challenge with a support team going ahead on vehicles with your belongings and supplies, to prepare your lunch stops and camp sites ahead where you will find a hot shower and scrumptious meal awaiting you. Trekkers need to be in fairly good shape as we walk an average of 20 km per day carrying our own water in the company of our professional guides and ZimParks Ranges. We do break for 2 days at Tamarind Tented Camp to catch our breaths and enjoy some of the other more relaxing activities on offer before continuing on to Mana Pools.
