Canoeing
Our canoeing activity shall take you gently down the mighty Zambezi from the Zambeasy Campsites to Tamarind Tented Camp, a 2-hour nature and discovery journey of a lifetime! Our professional canoe guides shall lead you every inch of the way. Longer ½ day options are also available on request.s.

Zambezi River Fishing
Test your fishing skills with the assistance of our expert fishing guides and boat captains on this powerful river for the most exciting fresh-water and fighting game fish in Africa, the famous Zambezi Tiger Fish!
All fishing on the Zambezi River is strictly “catch and release” with us.

Safari Dam Fishing
Pass your time catching numerous fish species at the safari dam, whilst watching the myriad of wild animals and birdlife flocking to the water source to quench their thirst or have a meal. The lodge provides all fishing tackle and bait as required including tutoring for those new to this popular activity.

This memorable activity can be arranged for any time of the day although the late afternoon is most popular with the increased wildlife numbers coming to drink from the Zambezi.

Astronomy
There are few skies in the world with clearer views of our stars than in the Zambezi Valley. Pre-arrange a specialised astronomy guide to accompany your safari and reveal the awesome universe above all the while surrounded with nocturnal wildlife and birdlife sounds to set the mood!

Kariba Gorge Tour
Take an adventurous river-boat tour up the Zambezi River along the wildlife rich “Rifa” conservation area and then into the mighty Kariba gorge, snaking all the way up towards the awesome Kariba Dam wall! This memorable tour is a full day affair and truly breath-taking! Not to be missed.

Predator Encounter
Our un-fenced Zambezi Valley concession boasts some of the highest concentrations of African predators such as lion, leopard, hyena, cheetah, serval and painted wild-dog. For those with a passion to see one or more of these in a natural un-fenced setting, a specialised Predator Encounter activity should be on your cards and pre-arranged prior to your safari.

Crocodile Encounter
The Zambezi Valley is home to a very healthy population of wild Nile crocodiles, by far the greatest predator in Africa. Our concession is home to a number of these giants that have been translocated to a sanctuary here after causing deadly human-wildlife conflict with fishermen in neighbouring Lake Kariba. Ask your guide for a Crocodile Encounter tour with these man-eating beasts!

Scenic Aircraft Flights
Various scenic aircraft flight options can be arranged from the Zambezi Valley concession that has a private airfield. Fly down the Zambezi River to Mana Pools or up over the impressive Zambezi gorge cutting through the Escarpment from Lake Kariba. Pre-arrange these flights prior to your safari.

Weapon Safety Training
Our professional guides conduct a special Weapon Safety Training activity where you are taught the basics of safe firearm handling and firing in a range environment, away from our camps and lodges and with no disturbance to the wildlife and birdlife. Pre-arrange this activity prior to your safari.
